It's funny... But it's not...

It's funny... But it's not... ww9111: While I was ironing my shirt so that I could wear it to work this morning I just started laughing.

Why?

I don't think I'm still outwardly angry about what happened but I think about the fact that my stbxw is 25 years old and has already had the best years of her life and it is funny to me.

What could it feel like to be 25 and know that you've already had the best years of your life? To know you've done all the international travel you ever will, that you've lived in the nicest house you ever will, that you've driven the nicest car you ever will, and that you've been with the only man in the world who loved you more than life itself.

For some reason this morning I was thinking about all the money I put into my stbxw last year. $4k to double the size of her diamond, $7k for new teeth, $20k+ for a wedding, $34k for a BMW, and then I had even started paying for her to start school this semester since she decided she wanted to be a teacher. We had a trip to Iceland, London, and Paris planned for May with my best friend and his wife and were planning to move to Philadelphia or Florida this year.

I know material wealth isn't a reason to be with someone, I just had the realization this morning that the last three years of her life will be the best she'll ever have and she chose to throw it all away.

She'll soon be a single mother to the guy she cheated on me with and living in a trailer with him for however long that may last. And let's face it, many single guys don't want anything to do with a woman with a child so its not like she has much of a chance to date upwards anymore.

Oh well. Her loss and karma hard at work. :)
Re:It's funny... But it's not... ajw: Your right material wealth is not the only reason to be with someone......but its definetly one of the things that help...financial security should be a big reason to stay with someone.
Does she actually love this other guy,or did you catch her tramping around and kicked her out?
If you kicked her out, remember to stay strong, because i'm willing to bet the draw of your bank account might turn her head back towards once her life with her sperm donor loses its shine.
Practicing slamming the door in her face etc.....lol

Good luck anyway

Andy
