Never be Lied to Again soTiredOfHurting: I have just started this book, I feel like after what I found out about the STBXW that this book was a must read for me. All I can say is WOW, just the section on clues that people are deceiving you are incredible.
Re:Never be Lied to Again Smiley17: Do you find yourself getting a little paranoid though?
I've been lied to and deceived many times and I find myself to be paranoid and over analyze. Does the book reinforce that, or make it easier?
Just wondering...

Re:Never be Lied to Again soTiredOfHurting: It starts out with giving you indicators that someone is telling a lie. Then it gives you ways of confronting them about it and waching their reactions and answers. Further it gives other questions that can be given at any point to further draw the truth out of them.
One thing I found neat was how a liar hates silence and just how pewerful the word 'really?' can be. Plus seeing someone go on the defensive, oh my it is just so full of good information.
The paranoia? Well I am a little yes, considering the BS that I bought off on from the STBXW. It is soooo nice to be in control now too. Another thing people hate is when you make them feel like they do not matter.
Check it out and I think you will be surprised at what you find out.
Re:Never be Lied to Again Smiley17: Thank you! I'll have to look into getting that book. I was dating a guy recently who told me that I always over analyze things and he hated the silence I gave him on the phone when he said something stupid or hurtful. It drove him nuts. I said it was my way of biting my tongue. If I responded to those things, we would have had a huge shouting match. I've also found that he told me constantly to stop thinking and that I was paranoid???
Seems like this book might help me, but also a little scared that what I suspect might have actually been true. That kind of truth hurts, even after the relationship is over.
