How do you meet someone in a bar / club? So_Lost: I have been wondering about this for a long time now. I have never once met a woman in a bar or a club, but I know that many people do. How do they do it? Just walk up to someone and start talking? Do you dance with them and put on the moves?
If you go to a bar or a club alone, is there still a chance? Do you have to have friends there for backup?
What works? What doesnt?

Of course, this will all probably change once I'm officially single again, meaning, doubtful they'll beat feet to a seat next to mine. Heh. :)

In my experience....not like I have a lot of it, but ya know....walking up to someone and starting a conversation is the best way to go. Or if you are in more of a club atmosphere, ask someone to dance. Don't be shy about it.....just do it. ;)

1) confidence
2) great smile
3) good conversation
4) buy her a cocktail
5) pay attention to what she's saying
Bring friends who are less "marketable" than you. No touching, don't be obnoxious and do not be the know-it-all of the night.
