help me eat/drink better.... amola: ok.........so i stole chey's idea........(thank you chey!!!)

now that i have someone else to think about besides myself as far as my health, i now have just a *tad* bit more of a reason to start watching what i eat/drink. i have NO willpower. none. nada. zilch.

soooooooo.......i figure that if everyone on here helps me to kick my own butt, maybe i'll do better.....lol

my general fluid intake consists of......
a. diet pepsi
b. cappucino
c. diet pepsi
d. cappucino
e. occasional glass of oj
f. diet pepsi
g. diet pepsi
h. iced tea

notice.......there is no water OR milk on there.

this is where i'm starting. there is no way in hell that i can completely cut out caffeine. nope, not even going to attempt it, and my ob/gyn has always said that it's ok "in moderation". once i get the fluid intake looking a little better, i'll work on the food.

so will everyone help me here?

so far today, i've had one cappucino (and i don't have any more powder, so that's gone for now unless i stop to buy one)........and i've managed to suck down a 32 oz glass of ice water. i'm working on the 2nd glass now. it's a step, right?

Dr. Pepper.
Dr. Pepper.... you get the point.
So far today, I'm on my 3rd drink.
I don't drink water, milk, juice, coffee... nothing but Dr. Pepper. I have been thinking about just switching to no soda at all and just water. I hate water though, so that's something I'm fighting myself with...

you can by those christal light packages, and add them to a bottle. you can buy flavoured water, either sparkling or normal. you can fill a pretty container with water and either lemons or limes.
i know that my tough thing is soft drinks too. but now, i try not to have those things until after work. i drink a lot of water at work now, it's the only think i will drink. i have usually about 64oz during the day, sometimes more or less.
have you thought about getting the book "what to eat when you are pregnant"? it might help you get the healthy eating stuff on track.

i might have to look into that book. i know that with my hip the way that it is, i'm going to have to be very careful with this pregnancy, or i will end up on bed rest. i have to be good this time! lol by the time i was into my 8th month the last time, i was using a cane to get out of bed and around in the mornings, and i just don't want to go there this time at all. but it's going to take work!

my biggest problem with the drinking is at night at the hotel......it's not uncommon for me to have 4-5 cans of diet pepsi during an 8-hour shift. i'm going to take a sports bottle or something with me tonight to keep there, and i can just keep refilling it throughout the night (i hope i hope).......

Ok, first of all, I have to know your with me on this. I don't wanna do it alone...

I won't drink any soda. I will replace it with water or milk.

And you?????....?????

A coffee or whatever in the morning is ok...
