Before we married and we talked about it being forever, that neither on of us would ever file for divorce because marriage was a one time deal with us both, I believed that you truly loved me and wanted to be with me for the rest of our lives. I never pictured myself being so unhappy, so miserable and so darn dependant on having you here. Today, I realized that I lied to you when I took that commitment. I cannot be forever anymore. I will file for divorce because I cannot let you hurt me anymore. I woke up with a smile for the first time in years and it felt good. I am now taking back control of me and my life. You were right when you said that a person cannot make another person completely happy, but you didn't mention how a person can make another so freakin miserable. I do need to say thanks for showing me just how strong that I can be when I need to. Thanks for showing me that I can put a stop to my misery! I now have my future to think about and I must move on. Goodbye, and not just for now, but forever because you CANNOT hurt me anymore!
