Re:Thought I would share...
You were the first life raft with which I clung to at the start of what seemed to me to be a downward spiral in my life. You helped me stand on my feet once more & for that I will always be forever greatful to you, Eric. & LL has also been one of my closest Ojar friends & for that I'm thankful for as well. It's been a privledge to know you both & be there at the start of your relationship to where you guys are now. I'm glad you & L have gotten as far as you guys have, you both deserve to be happy. The Ex's have no idea what they gave up.
& Christy... lol... I miss those days too. :P
Thought I would share... Safetykc: Well, it's been a long time since I've come out here regularly, but I have something I felt needed to be shared to give hope to those who think there isn't light at the end of the tunnell.
Back in August of 03 I went through a terrible seperation and divorce. My ex-wife at the time left me and I found out she was having an affair with a co-worker where we all 3 worked at. It was a dark time and the friendships and support I found here on Ojar saved my life. You can see from my post count I was a prolific Ojar junkie, although Ive been surpassed since then I see. ;)
A few months after my divorce was official on Dec 01, 03, I met someone amazing here on Ojar, LoneLonghorn. E-mails led to phone conversations, which led to meeting where I knew I know had someone right for me in my life. We dated long distance for a few more months til the distance became to much.
I then relocated my kansas city life to here in Austin, Tx. to be closer to my sweetie. Two months later we moved in together and have been happy as clams ever since.
The reason I am out here sharing what some of you old timers already new is we have WONDERFUL news to share. Monday at the Judges Mansion here in Austin I broke out my hopes and dreams for us in the from of a shiny diamond ring and popped the question. Much to my delight and joy L accepted my proposal to graciously become my wife.
We haven't set a date yet, but I'm sure it will be soon.
All I can say is thank you to all who supported us both on the road to recovery in both our divorces and I hope you wish us the best on the road to new happiness.
And a special thanks to Michael for providing Ojar and making this all possible. Without this support community I would never have found the true love of my life and happiness I have known before.
Peace and love and good luck in healing and on all your own journeys.
Safetykc~Eric
