So the OM has a suspended license... Tarheel: About two months ago, when me and the stbx were on the ups, she told me exactly how STUPID the OM is. [Insert your own joke here."> One of her stories that stuck out at me was his driving record. He's wrecked five vehicles, including a spectacular interstate barrel roll several years ago, has a hit and run, and recently got nailed for driving without insurance and had his license suspended... and it still is as such. The first thing out of my mouth was "Does he drive when Savannah (our daughter) is in the car?" And she assured me that he didn't.
BZZZZ! Wrong! I was to pick Savannah up from her yesterday at her job, right before she got on her shift. Well, I was early, and rather than wait 10 minutes, I turned and drove toward the way she would be coming from. And I passed them on the highway... and HE was driving. I immediately pulled a U-Turn, but rather than chase them down and start something, I opted to pull off into a strip mall just down the road from her (their) restaurant, and waited on him to drive back, cause I assumed he was dropping her off. Well, I waited five minutes and he never came back, and since I told the ex 5:00, I drove down and pulled in front of the restaurant.
45 seconds later, she comes out the door carrying Savannah, puts her in the car, and I say, "Oh no, he never drives when Savannah's in the car." And it obviously catches her off guard - apparently she didn't see me pass them - and she struggles to say, "Well, it was raining." (She has a fear of driving in the rain since she wrecked my car - with him - in the rain.) So I reply, "He doesn't have a valid license!" She says, "Well it was just down the road." By this time I'm really pissed, "I don't give a s***, if Savannah's in the car, he doesn't drive! End of story."
Of course, this pisses her off and she storms off. Is there anything I can do about this?

Re: So the OM has a suspended license... Tarheel: Well, yeah, but I just don't know how all that works. Or how high on the priority list catching an unlicensed driver is to the local cops. Seems to me like they'd rather be pulling me over for barely speeding than getting real idiots off the roads...
I mean, are the cops really gonna stake out his road and bust him? It just seems like a stretch. Am I underestimating the authorities here?
