Car Insurance Question

Car Insurance Question Bubby: Since my husband and I separated a year ago, I took the car that was in my name, he took the truck in his.  I have insurance for my car but I'm scared now wondering if he has insurance on his truck.

If he were to have an accident that was his fault and had no insurance, even though we're separated and the truck is in his name, could I still be liable since we're legally still married?

And, if he doesn't have insurance, I'm worried if he were to have a wreck with our children in the car.  Should I not allow him to have our children in the car with him if he doesn't have at least liability insurance?

Please help...  I'm in Texas if it helps.
Re: Car Insurance Question AfterMath: Hey Bubby,

Call your insurance agent first thing tomorrow.  What sucks is that every State is different.  You gotta be sure of how Texas deals with this situation.
Re: Car Insurance Question starzluv: i agree, call the insurance company. i use to live in texas, and the way they handle things if you are still legally married is messed up compared to alot of other states.
