Yay and YIKES!!!
I had met this girl a month ago, while she was on a date no less (but they were just friends), through some mutual friends. I had gone to a play and my friends were there too...afterwards we stopped for a drink and this girl and her date came with. I had the time of my life just talking with her. I ended up walking her to her car (her date had left like an hour earlier) and was having such lovely conversation that it didn't occur to me to ask her out. Fast forward to last week. I called our mutual friend and got her phone number and called. Ended up leaving a voicemail for her and then didn't hear back from her. She called me back last night apologizing profusely for the lag. Anyway, we made some conversation and then I asked. She didn't hesitate and said certainly. So...she asked if I minded if we went out with the friends that we met through and I have no problem doing that (they rock), especially if that makes her more comfortable so she sees that I'm not some psycho axe killer.
So now, here I am, as I said, excited and nervous and more or less rambling...lol. This is a HUGE step for me as many of my closest ojar friends know. Anyway, just needed to share with you all...it really DOES happen in its own time.

ooohh.....where did I just hear or see this???? Something about how you've already won because you got the date. I know it is IMPOSSIBLE to not be nervous so I won't even suggest it...but the asking out part I think is the hardest part and you've already had that one on one conversation...so I think this date will be somewhat easier than most!
