The Replacement SleeplessInOhio: well i had to go to our house last night for the appraisel, it looked empty and cold. i didn't walk around with them, i just stood in the living room fumbeling with my cell phone and wondering how i got to this place in my life. he was decent to me, as i was to him, he only spoke when we needed to. as i was walking past the bathroom door i saw her stuff. a hairdryer, a curling iron and a cosmetic bag. i'm not saying i haven't dated people or ventured out and am moving on. but i haven't moved on to that point...a live in basically. there were pictures of her and the kids on the entertainment center, and drawings on the refridgerator. it was like i never existed. there was nothing in that house that would even be considered a distant memory of me. i'm glad it will be over soon. i guess all i am looking for is closure. but how do you know what or when that is?
Re: The Replacement slickwilly: just remember she can never replace things that you have already done with your stbx a house is just wood and drywall it takes the people in it to make it home and it sounds to me that that house is pretty empty not very homey in my book

Re: The Replacement tyrogers: Wow Sleepless, sorry that made you feel so bad. I think that sometimes, when we see things like that, THAT is what helps us with our closure. It brings reality into view not only on your end, but on their end as well.
