Re: The ring! LostTeacher: would you ever think of just changing the ring a bit? i still have my two rings, but i have not worn them for almost a year now. i want to be able to wear them at some point as a right-hand ring, but i will be getting them completely redesigned. would that work for you?
and you should be proud of yourself for moving it to the other hand. that right there sends a message. that you realize the change in the relationship. but i think that eventually you will want to make it into a ring of your own, and then you will be that one more step closer to moving on. good for you!

I was looking for a place to write this, but did not want to take space from the other issues that are more important than a ring!
I took off my engagement ring on Friday. Its Sunday, and its still off! OK.... I am not that good.... I put it on another finger on the other hand. I had planned on doing this 2 weeks ago when I sarted work but I was unable to do it. I did it!
I love my ring and I plan to continue wearing it. How long? Maybe forever. I know I know I know....people say I should not wear it because it came from a man who did not want to be with me anymore... bad karma... bla bla bla.... it will be hard for another man to accept this.... well, we will see later on. I can always change the setting or make it into something else. We will see.
