Green thumb, huh? genesplicer: Just got in from mowing the lawn, and I'm a *little bit* aggervated. Stbx and I bought a new lawnmower last year when we moved. Every time he mowed the lawn he would b!tch about how crappy the lawnmower was since the bagging attachment didn't seem to work. The grass always ended up back on the lawn and not in the bag.
Now that I've pretty much gotten the hang of mowing, I figured I'd try the bagger today, just for the hell of it (hey, he was wrong about how many other things? ;)) and when I checked after mowing half the lawn it didn't seem to be working. But I actually took it off and LOOKED to see what was going on. Guess what I found? The freakin mulching attachment was installed!!! And I'm guessing it's been there since we bought the darn thing.
So I pulled out the mulcher and put the bag back on, and it works just fine now. ::)
What a freakin moron... I was tempted to call and tell him such too when I figured out what was going on. But oh well, no more raking up the grass for me! ;D
Re: Green thumb, huh? genesplicer: Thanks dgiirl :)
Yea, I'm finding more and more 'side projects' that should be fairly easy to get done around here that mr. handy didn't get around to. Why didn't I ask for those Bob Villa 'do it yourself' books for Christmas? ;)
I'm pretty capable at breaking things too, but it's usually small stuff (thankfully) ;D
Re: Green thumb, huh? dgiirl: lol gooooo gs!!! :) I've quickly come to realize that (some) men like to think they are adequate at a lot of stuff, and our roles tend to be supportive so we dont hurt their egos, but my stbxh doesnt know jack and I can break things just as easily as he can. I dont need his help to break them or fix them :)
Congrats girl! :)
Re: Green thumb, huh? amola: i'm going to give them a break........i won't do mine tonight........maybe wednesday night since i don't have to work at the hotel....
Re: Green thumb, huh? genesplicer: They'll be out mowing their grass tomorrow, never fails. ;)
