Actually I heard a radio DJ on saying the same sort of thing that I wrote. I am just happy they are planning on doing something.

I'll be taking a couple of disposable cameras so I'll take pics and scan them in and post when I return. Most likely I won't have access to a computer but will post if I do get a chance. They said the chacnes of electricity whereever we go will be slim, even after 2-3 weeks since the hurricane.
Anybody interested and have the time, call your Red Cross chapter. They have all kinds of volunteer jobs from going to the south, to fund raising and data entry, etc. It's as easy as that. It has been wonderful to be around all the people.

I'll be going to Dallas in 3 weeks to visit my ailing gramma. I plan on loading my uncles truck with supplies in Dallas and driving them to where ever they are needed down there. My sister lives in Pensacola, a couple of hours from where the damage begins. So that can be a base for me should I choose to stay down there longer and help.
