i am right there with you.....i have 3 wonderful kids who are almost 6, 4, and 15 months. had all of them with my now ex-husband. started dating after our divorce, and got pregnant. i'm now about 19 weeks along, and the baby's father is gone (actually, he's with his OTHER girlfriend, who is about 10 weeks along...but that's a whole 'nother story).....
anyway, i was scared to death that no one would want me. especially being pregnant. so i figured well, ok, after i have the baby maybe it won't be so bad to try to date.
but.....it looks like my situation might be changing.....there is someone out there who is willing to accept me and ALL of my children.....and i can't even begin to tell you what an amazing feeling that is.....just take your time.....
yes, there are going to be guys who will run screaming the other direction when they find out that you have 4 kids. and those guys aren't worth the effort anyway. but somewhere, there is a guy who is perfect. and you'll find him when you're least expecting it...

I'm finding this to be very true. In addition to the understanding the Bubba mentioned, single moms and dads also have more *respect* for the person who is raising the children -- they know how hard it is, and when you're raising healthy children in a positive manner they want to be around *that*.
