Is this common? greg41: Wow…today a co-worker (with good intentions) wants to hook me up with a friend of hers. I’ve only been separated 3 weeks but that’s not the issue.
My issue is that when my co-worker was describing me, the girl kept asking her what was wrong with me? Why would someone leave him if he were such a great guy? And made the comment “there has to be something wrong with him”!
I guess this is what I have to look forward to huh?
Re: Is this common? Trillian: Greg~
Some people will react like that. Others will just flat out state that there must be something wrong with the other person to have let you go. :) It is all part of the whole divorce thing, unfortunately. It is sad, but true.
Re: Is this common? Shanna: Yes, it is common, but eventually people will see you as a person not as a person coming out of a relationship when you see yourself the same way.
Re: Is this common? Lumpy: And let's be honest, nobody's perfect divorced or not. Look at it another way. Something that one person may find to be "wrong" with you may be endearing to another.
Re: Is this common? greg41: But I am perfect ::)...jk but I never thought I would end up being "that guy"
