Slander??
.

Slander?? UNBREAKABLE: My ex has been spreading some EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY detrimental things about me. Is there anything that can be done legally to stop it? He already has a restraining order out on him. I unfortunately may have to do some work to prove that he said it, but I know that he did. I do have witnesses for some of it. Any suggestions? I just want this bullying to stop!!!!!! Lord help me! I don't want total strangers looking at me like I am a monster becaue of things he said and I don 't want my daughter hearing them later. ???
Re:Slander?? ChrisJane: Unless your county is different, if you have a restraining order and he is doing anything to harm you, physical or verbal he can be held accountible. If you don't have an attorney, contact your prosecuting attorney to see what all you need. Sworn statements from people that have seen or heard this first hand from him will be helpful.

Good luck and keep me posted.

Re:Slander?? janee: I filed a restraining order against my soon to be ex. One of the clauses was no third party contact. Anotherwords, none of his friends, family, or acquaintances is not allowed to be 150 feet within my property. If its violated, just even one of his friends saying a word, he goes to jail. Find out if your restraining order has that. Some of his friends were harassing me and once he was served, it stopped. Find out if that applies. Hope this somewhat helps. Good luck and hang in there.
Re:Slander?? finney5: If he's spreading information that he KNOWS is false, then he's in trouble. It's just a matter of proving it and finding someone to take the case. Actually, you can sue for stuff like that in small claims court, but you have to be able to prove damages. A lot of attorneys will do a free session, you might check with some to see what advise they can give.
