What is YaBB??? wolly1234: I'm kinda new. I'll probally feel stupid when I hear, but the curiousity is killing me. What does it stand for?

Here is the answer.
YaBB = "Yet another bulletin board" - the self depreciating name for the mesg. board software I use on OJar.com
Originally in 2001 I used this version,
http://www.yabbforum.com - which is written in Perl programming language and used flat files. When the size of the forum got bigger I updated the mesg. board (around a 18 months ago).
I switched to a version written in PHP another programming language that stored all the postings in a database. This version can be found here, yabbse.org
This allows me to backup the site quicker and it also creates less overhead on the server.
Now you know what "yabb" means. 8)
