I flew out to Albuquerque, NM last September. Layover was in Atlanta, GA...DURING A HURRICAINE!!
I had my (then) 2 year old boy with me...my 5 hour flight turned into a SIXTEEN HOUR NIGHTMARE!!
I feel for you!
I am never leaving this airport. tara: #@$! gate hold in Las Vegas. I'm trying to get there, and I'm stuck there.
My 2:15 has turned into a 4:50. And even that is no guarantee. But I can't leave the gate area because if the hold is lifted, they can start boarding. Grr.

I'm here now. Sleeping soon (it's 1:30 in my head, and I gotta be up for an 8 am business breakfast. Yippee). At least the flight was uneventful.
And, yes, the terminal is preferrable to the plane. We had a half hour in away-from-the-gate limbo, and that was more than enough.
