C. has a few good weeks and then it all goes to #$%^. Oh, I suppose I should preface this by saying we work in a day program dealing with adults with mental health/mental retardation issues.
So, throughout my time there, when she is in one of her bad stages, she gets angry, slams doors and drawers, sighs loudly, rips up papers, writes notes illegibly, and communicates with the rest of us via post-it notes.
Last year things really came to a head. She started becoming more brazen, making nasty comments to the rest of us. She pushed her chair out far so I couldn't get back to my desk, started singing along to the radio, cackling...eventually she got moved out of the office (much to my and my other co-worker's relief).
That afternoon she left a post-it note on the boss's desk demanding that her desk be moved to a different area. The next morning she had quite a tantrum, screaming at our nurse and the boss that we should all decide if we wanted her to work there, and she stormed out. (Hey, I was fine with voting her off the island, but anyhoo...).
Needless to say, she saw the "big" boss and got 4 days off and was allowed to return like nothing happened. Things continued the same way, her having periods of a few good weeks where she was nice and talked to everyone, and then all of a sudden she'd get p.o.'ed and tantrum.
She's currently in one of her bad periods. She has been upset since last week because she actually, well, is expected to do work while at work. The boss tried to give her another person on her caseload and she refused, saying she only is part-time at 37.5 hrs/wk and the rest of us are at 40/wk (never an issue before). She came into our office and said she's dealt with enough $hit there (???).
So yesterday she, my boss, and I were in the office discussing a client and their van driver. I dared to contradict her and she snorted in disgust. The boss told her if she is upset about something she needs to say so, otherwise we are not dealing with things this way anymore. She just said," I'm just doing my treatment plan." ::)
So there it is...I nominate C. for a$$hat of the week.

let's just say you deserve the hat if you leave your girlfriend and her friends stranded at another bar to be with someone you don't even really know. (and believe me, if i knew that he had a girlfriend, i never would have given him the time of day with the stuff he talked about)
