hey maybe if we take up a collection here we could buy the naming rights from Coca Cola, parent company of Minute Maid, and call it Ojar field.
and while i am ranting about this, i Loved the name Ballpark at Union Station,
then Enron .... ok an energy company, Houston ... i get that, ( well at least most people thought that they were an energy company)
but Minute Maid ???
what does that have to do with my Houston, i mean come on fresh oranges, pure water ....... not an image of my petrochemical capitol of the world

Now, I'm not a big ball fan, I love playing it but I can't stand to watch it. I love Hockey..the only real sport. :P
Anyway, here in Vancvouer, the stadium is called GM Place. huh, guess who sponsered it's construction. :P I thought that was lame but people here call it "The Garage" for short. So what's the Minute Made Park's nickname? "Squeeze Box"? "Tetra Pack"?

I'd been talking to a couple friends at work about the Arod deal and the juggernaught of the yankees and right after saw this thread title.
So of the baseball fans out there, what would you say the odds of the yankees going all the way with their murderous lineup this year is? 3-1 ??
Personally i'm hoping my small market A's can put a competitive team on the field again and not fold in the playoffs this time.

hey H- town has a Hockey team too btw. the Aeros
of the AHL. i think they average about 5 or 6 spectators a game. they all seem to be happy though and muttering something about eh
