Re: do you dare? alonewith2: I was pulled over in college for going the wrong way down a one way street.  I was hoping to sneak through up to the intersection and turn on to the next road, but the cops were coming through the intersection before I turned!

Anyway, they pull up to me while I'm still sitting at the light, and they ask me for my license, registration, and insurance card.  So I find them, hand them over, and then they ask if I was aware that it was a one way street that I was travelling down.  I said that I had just dropped off a friend at his apartment, turned around, and didn't realize it was a one way until I came to the next sign which was right before the intersection.  (It helped that I had an apartment 10 miles away in the next town!)

Then the cop started sniffing around me and asked if I had been drinking.  That's when it dawned on me that I was covered from head to toe and dripping wet with alcohol! (I had just been inducted into my business fraternity earlier that night....I hadn't been drinking because I didn't drink at that time in my life).  I was getting nervous because I really didn't think they were going to believe that I hadn't been drinking when my hair was practically dripping with alcohol!  But I said, "no, I haven't been drinking at all tonight."  And they let me go....no warning, no fine, no ticket, no alcohol tests!!

*must be because I'm so damned cute!! LOL not really*
do you dare? hardened_heart1970: ha. this post came around, thanks to blazin. he da man.

what is the worst thing that you have ever been stopped by the cops for, what was the worst fine, or penalty for it? no domestic violence stuff here either...

since i did, i will post one or two....

i have been caught atleast 5 times for running a stop sign.
i told the cop, that i would stop twice next time. didnt work. fine $75.00 per ticket.

i have been caught for multiple small speedings up to 30 over. all the rest of the times i was WAY over, i burned their ass, so i never got the tickets. its hard to outrun the radio, you just gots to be smarter.

up here, the indecent exposer laws are weird. me and a buddy got caught for watering the grass on the side of the road. his fine was 25.00 and mine was 250.00

i guess they charge per inch..............

Re: do you dare? Trillian: teee heee....oh that was toooo funny...

Got pulled over for or just caught by the cops for?  Cause when I was younger, like in high school, and I started to date my ex, we were party animals.  One night, a friend and his band had a party at his farm.  The cops showed up, and I was on the front porch with a wine cooler in one hand and a freaking glass of wine in the other, they came up and talked to me, asked why the party was so load, blah blah.  Showed them to the host of the party and went back and sat down with my drink.  Didn't even occur to me until the next day that I could have gotten each and every one of those people into serious trouble if the cops had id'd me.   :o  What makes this even funnier is the fact that even at 30 I look like 17.  So can you just imagine what I looked like at 17???  I know that those cops should have been asking me for id.... ;D

Lets see, I got pulled over one night at 3 am and was told that I ran a red light turning right onto the freeway.  Then he asked if I was drunk, I told the officer, "no sir I am not!"  He asked were I was coming from, I said "Like 4100 S 3600W.", he then said "No ma'am, I mean who were you with?" I said "Oh my fiance" and he said "ok have a good night" and left.  I was sooo tired I forgot to get his license plate.  LOL!!

Then the most recent one, I woke up one morning at 9 am.  I am supposed to be to work at 8.  So I run and jump in my car, I am flying, doing 80 in a 60 zone, and I see a car coming towards me, but as soon as I figured out that it was a cop it was toooooo late.  I pulled over onto the side street right next to me and waited.  He got there and asked for license and registration and proof of insurance... so I gave him the license and reg BUT had forgotten my new cards at home.  He came back with a warning and told me the following "Denise, the speeding ticket would have been like 150.00 fine and the no proof of insurance would have been over a 500.00 fine, so please remember the proof of insurance next time.  Oh and BTW the next time you get pulled over, if you pull off onto a side street like this, I am going to have to pull you out and put you in hand cuffs.  It makes us suspicious, and very worried..."

LOL!!!
