WhiskeyGirl: Okay so I just got back from my nieces birthday party....holy crap! what the hell is wrong with me? lmao I dont know but I really was the life of the party tonight ::) First off, my brothers fiance wasn't there so I asked why not? Hmm, he was pretty evasive so I know damn well they are fighting over HIS drinking all the fucking time. I like this girl, she's really great for him and my nephew (who he has full custody of) and here he is beer in hand laughing that she's pissed at him ??? Oh no no no.....whiskey's in a stink now! lol yeppers I called him out, told him exactly what I thought, which ain't pretty when I get pissed off. My brother drinks too much, I'm sorry, mabey its none of my business but I have watched him lose 2 other really great girls over it and I have seen my nephew learn that its normal for adults to just sit around and drink there fucking faces off constantly....J, his fiance, is just what he needs....I am not going to keep my happy, happy mouth shut this time. ARGH!
So, wait! it gets better, my sister gets pissed off that I am on his ass.....oh dear, here we go, then my brother- in- law pipes in!!! Fantastic, I've been meaning to talk to him anyway about the fact that he is hired to BUILD MY FUCKING BARN and not drink his face off and pass a fucking joint around a big fire pit with all his little "workers"!! Well, hell, now is a good a time as any eh? Oh and yeah.....those 120.5 hrs you just invoiced for? FUCK THAT!!Wheres my fucking barn??hmmmm....does $3000 fucking dollars a month in labour sound reasonable to any of you when it aint half done and its already been in progress for 4 fucking months???
Wow! it got ugly really fast >:( My brother-in-law left in a fit of rage ::) My sister, who was also SLOSHED started crying and saying that she will fix it, she handles the money and didn't know they were slacking off, my mom started crying because my brother drinks too much and now she's upset he may lose J, my other brother-in-law (who is only recently reconcilled with my sister) sat with his drink and said "wow, look what I've been missing!! MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!" LMAO my brother tried desperatly to make me understand that J knew how much he drank before they got engaged so really its her problem she doesn't like it now ??? WTF!!!!!

HOLY SHIT! take them off for a minute and I have a fucking family full of drunks, cheats and slackers who are now all at each others throats! OMG! lmao....this is so bad I can't help but laugh...what else can I do?
Top it all off my dad is up from the coast visiting, he came tonight too ::) He's like me, doesn't usually get in peoples faces......lord that was a nice visit eh dad? We go to leave and get in the truck....its quiet for a few minutes....and then my dad just says....."well, that was fun....I really think you got alot accomplished tonight! ;D" I damn near killed myself laughing....thanks dad ::)
ARGH!! anyway....thats my vent, things just keep looking up :D YAY ME!

it great that you speak your mind. your brother gets mad because he knows he has a problem... but eventually he will realize you are the reasonable one, that was trying to help him.
also, if they have billed 3000. then i would make sure that i got my moneys worth.. i have had relatives do carpentry for me, and let me tell you, i got swindled.....
sounds like a great party... what was in the joint they were passing. was it homestoned? lol... your day will get better. OR, you could sign up to be a drill sergant in the forces!! :P

Had I seen this yesterday I would have responded....BUT alas, the migriane kept me in bed most of the day. I am sorry to hear that you went through this, however I am VERY proud of you for standing up to him and speaking your mind. I come from a very LARGE family, and over the years (OK SINCE I WAS 8...THANK YOU) we have come to be able to tell each other ANYTHING that we were thinking, even if it meant hurting someones feelings. There was one Christmas that stands out. My oldest sister decided that we should just exchange names within our family, not extended, just brothers and sisters and spouses. So we did, well the one that got my name FORGOT about the whole thing, and so here we are at this party, everyone but me and my ex got presents. So I was a little bummed. She proceeded to call me a baby. Well I turned around and just let loose the feelings that I had had for years before but had kept to myself. I let her know that everyone in the family thought that she was just a bitch and moaned about everything. That she always made everyone feel unwelcome....so forth and so on.. Well I then LEFT the party. When I got to our car, my oldest brother came out and gave me a hug and for the first time in my life told me that he loved me. That he was proud of me, and that he thought I finally did something RIGHT!!
My sister forgave me over the years, and her husband actually came up to me and said that for the first time, he saw a side of me he actually liked. My family, since then, has been closer and has been able to talk about anything without hurting the others feelings. :) Or if feelings get hurt, we soon forgive...mainly cause we have realized that family is there for you through thick and thin. My family has been with me through 2 divorces, my daughter being diagnosed with JRA and Iritis, and me going through countless surgeries. And although we bug each other every now and then. I know my family loves me. It took my mother 20+ years to actually tell me that she loved me, but I knew long before that she did....she did a lot of stuff that pissed me off, but she also did a lot of stuff to show me that she loved me.
