Re: HOw did you all find ojar? starzluv: Random,
i desided to stop wearing mine the day he moved out.  it hurt like hell to take it off, but it hurt more to keep it on.

oh  and my sister told me about ojar. sucks that we are both going through this at  about the same time, but i'm sure glad she was there to tell me about this place
Re: HOw did you all find ojar? LostTeacher: just was doing a search on divorce, and found it thru google.

and i stopped wearing my ring about a week before we seperated.  i did it just because i was angry at the time....didn't really realize that it was going to be forever after that.  haven't put it on since.  they both sit in a box in my parents house....waiting for me to decide what to do with them, along with some other diamond jewlery.

The night we got into a fight and he was gathering his things to leave he took our wedding rings so guess I didn't have a choice! He has them hanging from his rearview mirrow!

Did you get an answer for this.  I still wear mine  (he never did) and I thought about taking it off.  This might sound strange, but I have tan lines under it, of course, and it seems like people will notice MORE that it isn't there because of that.

Stupid, I know.

I found that there really is no right answer.  I remember some posters said they wore their ring until the divorce was final, others took it off when it became clear the marriage was over.  Me? I waited about a month or so after he left to take it off.  I was ready for people to know at that point and it was causing me more pain to wear it than not.

Now I consider wearing it again on my right hand.  Not because of anything to do with my marriage or my ex, but because it's a nice ring.  It's not a diamond (it's a tanzanite) so I don't think it looks odd...but I guess it's a little tough for me to pull off emotionally.  Maybe someday.  Maybe not.
