2005 Not My Year NHGIRL: So I guess you can say 2005 has not been my year! I've been through a divorce that I didn't see coming and never expected. Not that any of us ever do, but very painful & emotional on me and still recovering. And now to top off the year I just found out that I will be losing my job at the end of May.
Wow, that has been a lot to swollow. Maybe it is good, I can get a new job to add to my new single life! I know I still have a few months to figure out what I want to do, but right now I have no plan.
I guess things do happen for a reason. If I was still with my husband and I had to tell him I was being let go from my job, that would have been very stressful for me. He would have driven me to MCDONALDS and made me apply there. We never saw eye to eye on the job front. He thought that I was snobish b/c I refused to work at some places b/c I have a college degree. But I'm not nocking anything, why run right out and get the first job you see, take time and find something you like and are qualified for. Oh no, he never saw it that way.
So the timeing is perfect now I guess. New single life, looking for a new job. I am in a good situation financially and don't have any outstanding debt or loans to pay off. Boy I'm glad that I decided to sell my house, there would be no way I could have afforded to live there by myself with no job. That would have made me a nervous wrech!
Now it's just me and my dog and we are looking forward to starting new in 2006!

Good for you. that is a good attitude to go into the new year with. Things will get better!

Re: 2005 Not My Year LifeisBetter: nhgirl - I am with you! 2005 has been the absolute worst year of my life - even worst than 2004 which is when I got divorced. I am so ready to ring in the new year and hopefully all the bad decisions and lessons I learned from them in 2005 will help me NEVER to have another year like that.

Re: 2005 Not My Year Dolphin Close: Same here. We decided to separate in January of 05 and it has been downhill ever since. I was ready to throw in the towel Feb of this year and fast forward to a brand new year.
