What should I do?
.

What should I do? hurtnlost: I am really scared I might not have agreed to what I wanted in our hearing. I  thought I did but then I started dwelling on it and now I am not so sure. I have not signed anything yet but our lawyers had said this was it, but it really isn't it until you sign right? I think I let my ex get off too esy with cheaper child support and alimony and also I had forgotton a few things that were not addressed in the negotiation room. Our lawyers had said to not call saying we wanted to rethink it over but nothing was signed. My husband is the one who wanted to leave and I was a stay at home mom to a 2 and 5 year old for 5 years, so for me I need as much money as possible.
What do you all think I should do? I am scared and upset now.
Re: What should I do? dumpling: hurtnlost-

your own lawyer said don't call back rethinking things?  that doesn't sound right.  if that is the case, i would talk to another lawyer.  he or she is your advocate.  i would imagine that nothing is final until there is a signature.  tell more about exactly what your lawyer said.

i was concerned the other day when you said that you negotiated everything and you were pleased.

pm me if you want.

Re: What should I do? ChiefWiggum: I don't see the harm in asking your lawyer these questions.  If he won't listen, talk to another lawyer.
Re: What should I do? C-Note: Yeah.. your lawyer is their for your needs and if they are not getting met get a new one.  Especialy since nothing has been signed.
Re: What should I do? BarbJo: Girl I know how you feel.  My husband left me with a 2 and 4 year old.  I also am a stay at home mom.  I can't get a job because he doesn't want to pay for daycare.  Don't take no for an answer.  Get what you need.  If you are not happy with the aggreement, change it!!!!!!  You deserve it!!!!  Fight for what you want.  That's what I am doing!!!!!
