Goose talks funny... manda: In case anyone wants to know...Goose talks funny. He says /a boat/ for "about".
I found this out today. I'm really not sure what he said (He did talk a lot--but I bet you all knew he would-- ;D ) but I was just listening to the sounds of the individual words. So I am not sure on the meaning of all of them together.
For him: ô = ō
So, I'm wondering how anyone teaches phonics in places other than here in the South where we talk so correctly (NOT).
Next time, I need to listen for his ĕ sound. And listen to see if he ever DOES use the ô sound or if it is just totally absent.
I know he says his days of the week without DAY at the end. Like: Thursdy and Wednesdy.
Just some random thoughts on how goose sounds. Accents are quite interesting...can't see them on here.
Oh, and someday, I'll actually pay attention to what he's saying. ;D ;D
Happy Birthday again, Goose, you funny-talking duck.
Re: Goose talks funny... Trillian: Did he grow up back east? cause the guy that I am currently involved with did and I kinda noticed the same thing.
Re: Goose talks funny... manda: Yeah, he lives in Maine. And I think he has all his life.
