Why Won't She Divorce Me rjack0612: My wife left, now lives 4 days a week with the OM. She lives the other 3 days a week with her sister. I want a divorce and have tried the one layer thing, irrecon diff route but she won't even show up to the meetings. Why? She told me the old, I'm not in love with you anymore thing, etc...
Re: Why Won't She Divorce Me Mr.Brightside: Sounds like she's not sure the OM will work out and she wants to make sure you're still there to take her back when she has no place to go. It's common, believe it or not. You may just have to force her hand...either legally or if at all possible reason with her. Sorry to hear about your situation...that's no good.

You don't need her to show up. As a matter of fact it'll be to your advantage if she doesn't. File for uncontested divorce. If she doesn't get off her @$$ and respond, you can pretty much set the terms. Unlike marriage, divorce only requires one willing party...
