My ex dropped the bomb in mid march, moved out (and in with the OW) june 1st, I started shopping online in July, 1st hook up was the end of july. Current relationship started in mid august. So is that the standard? I dunno. Prob. not. But I could not be alone, and I really needed to prove to myself that I still have it.

Not because you are scared you'll never meet anyone. But when all the fear and all the pain and all the sadness and all the desperation go away, i think then you are ready.
I'm just shy 10 days for it to be a year of separation and no dating. That doesnt mean I stayed at home all the time tho. I went out with friends. I went out and met new people. But I've yet to go out on a date.
