Weird Situation

Weird Situation ih8BeinAlone: So my old girlfriend called me today (H).  H and I talk occasionally every few months.  I actually ended the 4 year relationship with her to be involved with my most recent ex (N).  Shortly after that H got a new b/f.  I've always felt it was kind of a competition between H and I.  Who was going to get married first. Or who would break up first.  Well she asked me how (N) was, and I told her that we broke up.  I feel like she won :(

Stupid games I know, especially after 5 years.  I had no problem telling my friends and family about my breakup with (N) just seems so strange to tell (H). I kinda feel like a failure.
Re: Weird Situation icwtsmnl: i know you feel silly playing that unspoken game, but i think more people do that than you realize, so don't worry.

look at it this way:  H and her current guy may very well break up in the future (weall know how often breakups happen!!)-- but you're ahead of the game in finding someone new!
