I need help with keeping my ex husbands new girlfriend from my kids

I need help with keeping my ex husbands new girlfriend from my kids daisyduke01: Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My ex-husband lives with his girlfriend and her toddler son. We have joint legal custody with him getting visitaion every other weekend and alternate holidays. Here is the problem, she is a drug addict and has endangered my children on more than one occasion. The last straw was when I took our children for a visit with their father and she had left her drugs and paraphanalia all over the coffee table in the living room. They are adults and I don't care what they do when the children are not around but, they knew the kids were coming and didn't care that it was accessable to the girls ages 7 & 4. She stays high all the time and I am concerned for their safety and the safety of her small child. I contacted the police which could do nothing but file a complaint and I also call social services and they interviewed the children, myself and are meeting in 2 days with my ex and his girlfriend. He told me she stopped but as nursing student I know you just can't stop cold turkey and be fine especially with the harsh drugs she is using. Does anyone know how I can keep her from my children until she has proven lenghty, stable sobriety? I want him to be a part of his children's lives but he is defending her over his children. I have no money for an attorney as he pays no child support and never has. I live in Michigan and plan on moving out of state as soon as our house sells, he told me that If I don't drop the charges against her that he will not agree to the move. Please help I am lost and all I care about is the safety of my children. thank you
Re: I need help with keeping my ex husbands new girlfriend from my kids JNA: As far s the drugs...

File a greivance with the Municipal Court...
If the kids see the drug use then take them to Childrens Services...
File a grievence about the local law enforcement...

That always gets them moving

Then document document document...

Then last but not least

If you "really" want this stopped and don't care about hurting feelings...

Call your States DEA Dept and report recent drug transactions at that residence

JNA

Make sure you want that though...

Re: I need help with keeping my ex husbands new girlfriend from my kids daisyduke01: Thank you so much! They had their meeting today with childrens services and was banned from seeing the girls for 30 days. But now he is retaliating against me, he was defending her by lying and she told the truth so now he is in even bigger trouble. At this point he told the social worker he doesn't want to see his kids, but he has threatened my life, which I now have police documentation, but they can't do anything until he injures me or kills me. gotta love michigan. But I think I will call the DEA monday and see what I can do more to stop this she admitted to drug use around the children and the only thing I can do is fight for full custody and supervised visits. I don't care about hurt feeling I only care about my kids, and them only. He made this bed!
