Update on my love life ! brynne: Ok...here's the deal, I got dumped 2 weeks ago, totally blindsided, it came from nowhere.
Well I sent the guy an email & basically told him what I thought of his timing w/ dumping me (2 days after we got back from 4th of July (we attended my best friends wedding that weekend & had a great time)...& that he should have been upfront before if that's how he felt...
So he responds to my email & then calls me tonight...tells me I am totally right & that he made a mistake...tells me he wants to pick up where we left off. So I agree but CAUSIOUSLY...tell him that we can date again, but not sure about the "pick up where we left off" part. Also I ask him what his true motives were for the "dump me" phone call. He tells me he thought I wanted to get serious & that he didn't want to hurt me, so he thought it best to end it now rather than later. Ok, so I tell him no I am 6 mo's post divorce & don' t want anything serious right now. So we agree to date again...AM I A SUCKER ??
My friends say no, as long as I keep the upper-hand & go causiously back into this with my eyes wide open !
What do you guys think...???
he really is & has always been a perfect gentlemen...opens all doors, cooks for me, is complimentary...(even when he dumped me, he was polite about it)...he's really what I need right now, someone to ease me back into the dating world, to treat me like a princess & take me out...yet keep it semi-casual.
Anything wrong w/ that ??

Re:Update on my love life ! jason_stl: I have always been told that men do not cook for women. Maybe that is why people think I am a nice guy ... anyways that one trait apparently separates guys like us from about 80% of the other men.
Just my take on it.
And no you are not a sucker, just don't close both eyes and jump feet first.

The last guy that cooked for me...I married him ! And look where that got me...ha ha.
But seriously, I am going to keep things casual, stay in the driver's seat & realize he is a good find BUT look out for myself & my feelings this time.
