Have a nice life Frideon: *gone*
Re:Does this make sense? LettinGo: Frideon ...

I am still pondering this ... lol.

I thought if you each were primary or custodial parent of one child each, wouldn't that kind of cancel the child support out?

I understand you make more money than her. The way we divide up expenses in NY is to take the total combined income and figure out who makes what percentage ... my ex makes 56% of the income and I make 44%, so when we have expenses to pay, like nursery school in a couple years, he would be responsible for 56% and I would pay 44%. (or whatever the ratio is at that time)

Child support though ... I don't know. My ex has the kids Monday - Friday while I work, half days on Monday and Tuesday and full days Wed - Fri. They live in my home though, and I still provide everything, so he pays me child support. The benefit of sharing childcare like he does above is that my kids don't need daycare and we don't need to spend money on it.

I know I have been NO HELP whatsoever ... sorry! I would consult a lawyer though ... get a few different free consultations.

Good luck!

Kelly

Why the reluctance to hire one? I think you'll have more piece of mind by getting your questions answered accurately. Plus, state laws vary so much that a book would be only partially accurate at best (IMO).

Good luck.
