Holidays-what to do? amess: The holidays are coming up, well, they will be here soon enoough, and in my wildest dreams I never thought that this year I would be in this position. Dec 18 is also my anniversary. I have to face these alone. He will probably bring a new chickie babe to the work Xmas bash, and to the family, and the thought is driving me crazy and making me very sad. How did everyone else handle this? Is going away the answer? :'(

I'm sure they'll be hard but I plan on spending them in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
I moved here 8 years ago because of the beauty and peace, and I will not let this D ruin it for me.
Everyday I wake up in heaven.
A change of scenery may do you good for a spell.

Re:Holidays-what to do? amess: I'm not THAT young. Into my mid 30's. However, you're right. Work will be fun ( although I'm getting a bit old for that), the people great, and the beaches. Should count my blessings.
