Why does it take so freaking long?? totallyconfused: I didn't get a court date until Oct 4th! It took me 30 minutes to get married and now it'll take 7 months to undo it? I am so angry right now I can't stand it.
I know it's short compared to most, but I have friends in the courthouses that are helping me get sooner dates, but it's still taking tooooo lonnnggg. I want to be divorced NOW!!

It sounds like you are well on your way to it being over.
If it will make you feel better, you can read my story under the "Tell Your Story" section. I have been legally separated for over 2 and a half years and that is with me boing as aggressive and pro-active as possible.

My ex husband and i have 2 children togehter and have been in court going on 3 years in may. you are lucky it is only 7 months. there is nothing you can really do to speed up the process. just be patient is all.
Re:Why does it take so freaking long?? Susie Q: 7 months?? Wow! I've been divorced three different times and each time it never took more than 45 days, AT THE MOST! That includes having two kids in first marriage... and everything. You all must really be fighting it out and unable to work out any agreements at all! Wow!
