This happened Christmas Day jjbswest: My stbx and I split up Dec 18. So, Christmas rolled around and we had already bought presents for the kids. STbx and I hadn't done our shopping yet. He came over to be with the kids as the opened their presents and he pulled a present out that was addressed to me. I didn't expect anything. It said to mom from j and b. I opened it up and it was a locket that said #1 mom. I just started crying. I looked at my stbx and said did you do this and he said no. I asked the kids How did you do this and my daughter (she's 11) said grandma took us shopping and we picked out something for you because we didn't want you not to have anything under the tree. I cried and cried. I have the best kids ever. Of course, that made my stbx feel bad too. So, that's a plus also. but that really touched me.
