Movie that bares a striking resemblance to end my marraige.
I was warned against seeing, "Unfaithful" by all my friends but my curiousness got the best of me. Not only did certain parts of that movie disturb me, but the actions of the adulterer were almost exactly the same as my ex. Now the ending of the movie was very stupid, and hitting the OM over the head with that glass thing wasn't something I'd even think of doing.
I was curious if anyone else has a movie they watch now that they can relate to their marraige or divorce.
On the flipside, the movie Old School was the first movie I saw with friends and got me thinking that it's ok to laugh again. Everytime I see that movie, I can't help but crack up every time I see 'Blue' wrestle 2 women coeds in the ky pool. "Ring the bell you panzy!" ;D
Any thoughts?

I hope you have stopped doing that!!! There is so much to enjoy from that. I actually find myself trying to find things like that...that a great movie with romance. It reminds me of what it's like to feel that way.
I loved "Unfaithful" I thought she did a great job portraying an adulterer. It is hard to watch especially if you have been cheated on but you can also relate with the people on their whether you are the victor or the victem to it. I have always thought "Prince of Tides" was a good movie especially now...because it has to do with a troubled relationship and deciding whether you want to stay and make it work for the sake of the kids and family or if leaving is the best thing. I have to think some more on movies like that.
I did watch Anchorman with Will Ferrell on friday night and it had a few good parts but pretty dissappointing...He was good...just bad writing.
I still have to check out Old School. I need a good laugh... :)

Re:Movie that bares a striking resemblance to end my marraige. OldSchool: FA, yes that was pretty much during my separation and like 3-4 months after my divorce. I forced myself to watch "Unfaithful" because I didn't want to pigeon-hole myself and block out the reality of life with TV, movies, and conversations centered around those topics.
I can turn the easy listening channel on now with no problems, and go grocery shopping while you hear some love ballad in the background. I just threw out the topic just for conversation.
As far as "Anchorman" goes, it is funny but not as good as the "Old School" movie. Check it out!!!

The radio is hard for me. i don't want to hear songs about love or cheating. I like to hear songs about how their gonna wish they hadn't done it. or how life has went on since it happened, etc. I am still doing that stuff. i guess i feel like i have lost the love of my life and wont' ever find that feeling with anyone again.
