new great-niece! amola: ok, it happened yesterday, but i got the email today!
my neice had her first baby yesterday in north carolina

6 lbs 14 oz
19 1/2" long
and according to my brother, "all important parts are in the proper place"
they will be in the hospital for 3 days, as she had to have a c-section :( i haven't had a chance to talk to my brother yet...called him at work and his coworker said that he was at the hospital but was running around the place like an idiot wearing his "i'm a grandpa" hat! kind of funny, because when they found out that she was pregnant, they were pi$$ed as he!! because they didn't like the guy at all (he refuses to work and my neice has been supporting his lazy @$$ the whole time) and then they ran off and got married and didn't tell my brother and his wife about it for 9 days.....ah, kids.
emma makes my 4th great-neice and i have 1 great-nephew....all that at 34 years old! plus there's also another "neice" that was a surrogate baby that one of my other neices carried for another couple. that's what happens when you're the youngest of 6 and your oldest siblings are older than dirt! lol (my brothers {twins} will be 55 this month.)

Re:new great-niece! amola: thanks loshyra! i finally talked to my brother ("gramps") this afternoon and he was pretty giddy! he said that she's doing really well and might get out of the hospital a little earlier than planned......hard to tell at this point! i just can't wait to see a picture of her!
