At Sad Eye's Request...Number 1 "Life Perseveres" CoryL: I will be posting up some of the poetry I have written since I found out my stbx cheated on me. I'm going to do it chronologically, so you can see how time actually changes your outlook on things. If anyone wants to discuss these, feel free to reply or PM me if you wish.

The first one:

"Life Perseveres"

Amidst the rain and fog
are packets of arid sanctuary
My desert in the oasis

Moments connected
by passing under umbrellas
I try to stay dry

Each droplet hits
with increasing intensity
Opposition is futile

With destination in sight
I can wait and dry off
or arrive soaked

Most avoid the rain
yet I choose humidity
While in the ocean
you either tread water or drown.
