When are you dating/definition
I have been seeing someone for the past month and we spend the weekend together and usually one day during the week. Should I ask her or just assume?
Re:When are you dating/definition timetobefree: To me, they become your bf/gf when you are exclusive...in other words, neither of you is dating anyone else. However, I know some people on here never date more than one person at a time, so perhaps I should change that to say, neither one of you is dating anyone else or has any desire to. Does that cover all the bases?
It is always awkward to me either way...to ask or to just assume your are bf/gf...so I don't have any great advice for you there. I guess I would go for the totally cheesy lead-in like..."It makes me feel like I am in fourth grade again to ask this, and wow, it hasn't gotten any easier, but do you want to be my girlfriend?" with the cheesiest, cutest grin on your face. But what do I know, I am a big ole' dork! ;D
Good luck!

Re:When are you dating/definition JimB: If it's really important to you to define it, ask. If it doesn't matter that much to you, leave it alone.
FWIW, my gf was "the girl I'm dating" for about 6 months.
Re:When are you dating/definition amola: t and i had this discussion the other night......i hate the sound of "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" for some reason....sounds like high school or something, i guess. so jokingly that night we decided that i was his lover and he was my boy toy...then we were out with some friends, and one was a coworker of his, and he said "hey t, who is your lady friend?" t and i looked at each other and busted out laughing because that was something that we hadn't thought of.
we are definitely not seeing anyone else and have no desire to, so then we decided to just say $crew it and go with the boyfriend/girlfriend label. i just don't say it that much yet......but i haven't really had the opportunity to either...i haven't talked to many people in the past few days!

Re:When are you dating/definition loshyra: I usually don't call the person "boyfriend" until I here him tell his friends, or someone that we run into that I am his "girlfriend" I figure it is easier that way for me, I don't get my hopes up to much that way. I dunno makes me feel better.
